The New Heights Roofing team recently took on a project in Medical Lake, Washington, providing a significant makeover to a home damaged during the Gray Fire in August of 2023.
With the goal of restoring and improving the home’s exterior appearance, the property owner enlisted us to not only replace the roof and gutters, but also to install new siding on the damaged areas, two new skylights, and five new windows.
The first step was to assess the condition of the roof and then begin the careful process of removing all the old shingles and flashing. With those gone, we conducted an inspection of all the ventilation and decking before moving to the underlayment. Our crews then laid down a synthetic felt underlayment and leak-protector ice & water shield to provide extra protection against the elements.
Despite Mother Nature doing her best to keep us inside, the New Heights Roofing team finished up the project on time and installed 27 squares of Weathered Wood Malarkey Roofing Products Vista shingles and replaced all flashings.
